Sinn Fein Hits Out After Kerb Stones Painted In L'Derry
A Sinn Féin MLA has hit out after kerb stones and other surfaces were painted green, white and orange in Limavady, Co L'Derry.
Ms Caoimhe Archibald condemned the incident.
She said: "There has been an increase in the numbers of flags, including paramilitary flags, being flown and a surge in kerbs painted red, white and blue in the town.
"Sinn Féin have consistently stated that kerbs and flags should not be used to mark territory.
"Myself and Limavady Councillor Brenda Chivers have met with the PSNI and other agencies to demand action to address the concerns of residents, including an inter-agency meeting which took place last Tuesday.
"Last week after St Mary's Chapel was daubed with loyalist paramilitary graffiti we appealed for calm and for no retaliation, I would re-iterate that call.
"I would once again urge all elected and community leaders to come together to show leadership in order to bring an end to the tensions in the area caused by marking territory in this way."

East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle revealed the document – entitled 'Celebration, Not Demarcation' – in a bid to help resolve the issue.

Flying Of Loyalist Paramilitary Flags In Limavady Condemned
The flying of a parachute regiment and loyalist paramilitary flags in Co L'Derry has been condemned. The flags have been erected along a main holiday route on the Seacoast Road, one of the official tourist trails of The Causeway Coast in Limavady. SDLP MLA John Dallat and local Councillor Gerry Mullan have called for the removal of the flags.

Belfast City Council has voted to take legal action to force the removal of paramilitary flags and banners. It comes as tensions have been heightened in recent weeks as banners in support of a former soldier who is set to be prosecuted over Bloody Sunday deaths in L'Derry in 1972 appear across the city.

Call For IRA Flags To Be Removed Immediately
The erection of IRA flags in west Belfast has been condemned. The flags, which are of D Company of the Belfast IRA's 2nd Battalion, were put up in the Millfield area, over the weekend. Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson is calling for the flags to be removed "immediately".
