Man Charged With Drug Related Offences In North Belfast
A 32-year-old man has been charged with a series of drug related offences following a £6 million drug seizure in north Belfast.
Detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch seized cannabis plants along with a large quantity of suspected benzocaine and other drugs paraphernalia during three planned searches in the Oldpark area on Thursday, 23 August.
The man was arrested and is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court charged with the conspiracy to possess a controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
The charges will be reviewed by Public Prosecution Services (PPS).

The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. The defendants were sentenced over the five-week period, from 11 January to 16 February, at Belfast Crown Court.

Two men have been charged in connection with a drug operation in East Belfast. PSNI officers arrested two men at about 12:30pm on Monday, 04 July in the Beersbridge Road area of East Belfast in an operation which also lead to the seizure of a quantity of heroin and a sum of cash.
