Agreement Reached Over Enniskillen Bomb Memorial
An agreement has been reached on where to erect a memorial to the victims of the Enniskillen bomb.
The memorial will be sited on the gable wall of the Clinton Centre.
A meeting was held on Tuesday, 11 September, when all parties decided on the placement of the memorial.
It was previously taken down and put into storage after the Catholic diocese, which owns the land it was on, said it had not been consulted by the council.
Dean of Enniskillen Cathedral, the Very Rev Kenneth Hall: "Good progress has been made and a solution has been reached by all parties involved to site the memorial within the gable wall of the Clinton Centre subject to necessary approvals.
"However, we envisage that this work will take time but all parties are committed to work together to complete this matter within a reasonable time scale."
The Enniskillen bombing occurred on Remembrance Sunday in 1987. 12 people were killed and 63 were wounded in the blast.
