Child Suspiciously Approached In South Belfast

Police have launched an investigation after a child was suspiciously approached in south Belfast.

The man is reported to have attempted to entice a primary school girl into his car in the Downhill Avenue area of Belvoir at around 3.10pm on Monday, 20 September.

The man is described as being aged in his 20s with a beard and was wearing black clothes.

It is believed he made off in his white car towards the Milltown area.

The girl fled and the incident was reported to the police.

The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police are appealing for information after a 6-year-old girl was suspiciously approached in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. The incident happened in the Windmill Court area at around 9.30pm on Thursday, 26 January. A man spoke to the girl, however a relation interrupted and took her home.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

74-Year-Old Shot In Chest
A pensioner has been taken to hospital after being shot in the chest by a masked man in Ballycastle, County Antrim. The 74-year-old man was working in a shed at a property in the Islandboy Road area at about 20:45 on Thursday evening when the attacker approached and shot him.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Intimidation And Criminal Damage
A man has been arrested on suspicion of intimidation and criminal damage. A number of attacks on homes and cars have forced families to leave the Ballysillan area of north Belfast. A 26-year-old man was arrested and he is helping police with their enquiries.

PSNI Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Belfast Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of 31-year-old Conor Bradley. Conor was last seen on Saturday, 29 January. He is described as 6'6", of slim build with ginger hair. He is believed to be in the Belfast area, according to police. Anyone with any information about Conor or his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
