Eyekiller Expansion And First US Contract
Digital agency Eyekiller has announced an expansion of its team and its first contract in the United States.
The Bangor-based company has been hired by The Symphony Space, a Broadway performance venue in New York City, to design its website.
Eyekiller offers "creative, development and digital marketing services" that enable its clients to maximise the business potential of the internet. This US venture is a first for the company which has benefited from a range of Invest Northern Ireland support towards its marketing, job creation and skills investments.
Commenting on the company's progress, Jamie Robinson, Creative Director at Eyekiller, said: "Securing our first US contract is a milestone achievement for the company which we hope will leverage further sales outside Northern Ireland. Working with Invest NI has enabled us to accelerate our business development plans which included recruiting four new staff to complement our talented team.
"We are working hard to break into new markets and build awareness of our services across a variety of industries in Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland and further afield."
Eyekiller's core expertise is in website design and development services. In addition, the company offers an array of support services such as hosting and the provision of web maintenance services. Eyekiller further distinguishes itself by offering a complete catalogue of bespoke, in-house created content management, e-marketing and commerce software solutions.
Mark Bleakney, Invest NI Southern Regional Manager added: "We are delighted to be supporting Eyekiller to expand its workforce, increase its market share and develop the skills required to realise its growth ambitions. Securing this US customer is an accolade that will bolster its brand awareness campaign, particularly in Republic of Ireland and Great Britain and help the company to leverage new sales.
"The high value skilled jobs created at Eyekiller is good news for Ards and North Down and will support the company to deliver the growing demand for its services."
Invest NI has offered Eyekiller over £36,000 towards its investment in marketing, job creation and skills.

The future for a struggling Pennyburn fan belt factory, which currently employs around 110 people, is looking bleak. The manufacturing plant, Arntz Belting Company, went to a three-day week in December and also sought 28 redundancies in March. However, the global recession has led to the firm's parent company looking at further cuts.
