Pair Charged With Portaferry Murder
Two men have been charged with the murder of a man who was assaulted in Portaferry over a week ago.
Ryan Macrae was attacked at Church Street in the Co Down town shortly before 1am on Sunday 14 October.
The 32-year-old was admitted to hospital but died 10 days later.
A 19-year-old and 28-year-old have been charged with his murder and will appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court today, 25 October.

Education Minister Paul Givan has responded to the announcement by several teachers' unions that they plan to ballot their members for industrial action over 2024/25 pay. Earlier this year, the Minister provided funding to successfully resolve the long-running industrial dispute over teachers' pay for 2021-24.

Mark Lamont, 54, was critically injured after being assaulted outside a house on the Ballycastle Road in September. He died in hospital on Tuesday, 12 October. The suspect is to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 13 October.
