Social Enterprise Programme Event Announced
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council are inviting those considering starting a social Enterprise business or those already trading and in need of assistance to attend the Social Enterprise Programme.
A social enterprise is a business whose primary purpose is based on social objectives. Any surpluses generated are principally reinvested in the business to further advance that purpose, or in the wider community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. A social enterprise does however have a business focus and operates as a commercial enterprise.
The social enterprise programme
The programme offers:
• one to one mentoring from a specialist
• access to group workshops
• networking opportunities with other social enterprise businesses
• access to a bursary to progress your idea
Information sessions are organised for the following dates:
• 06 November 18:00 – 20:00, Mallusk Enterprise Park
• 30 November 10:00 – 12noon, Antrim Civic Centre
