Two NI Banks To Launch New Plastic Notes
Two banks in Northern Ireland have confirmed they will introduce new plastic notes in 2019.
On 27 February next year, Danske Bank will launch a polymer £10 note and the Bank of Ireland will introduce £5 and £10 notes, followed by a £20 note in 2020.
Danske Bank's new polymer £10 note will feature a a depiction of pneumatic tyre inventor John Dunlop. The new polymer note will include an image of Mr Dunlop's son alongside that of his father.

New NI Bank Notes In Circulation
New bank notes have been released into circulation in Northern Ireland. The £10 and £20 notes are being issued from Danske Bank and will gradually replace the existing Northern Bank notes. The design of the notes remains the same, the only difference is the Danske Bank logo has replaced the Northern Bank logo.

The Ulster Bank is to introduce new plastic £5 and £10 notes in Northern Ireland in 2019. Production is to begin later this year and designs are to be unveiled in the coming months, according to the bank.

PSNI Issues Warning Of Counterfeit RBS Bank Notes
The PSNI is asking retailers and the public to "exercise caution" when dealing with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) polymer/plastic £50 notes, after a number of counterfeit notes were recovered across Northern Ireland. Counterfeit £50 notes can be identified as fake from the holographic foil strip on each note.
