No-Deal Brexit Warning On Pet Travel
Pet owners have been told to prepare for the possibility of a no-deal Brexit and the impact it could have on travelling with animals.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said pet owners planning to travel after the UK's exit from the EU should consult with their vet now.
There are currently no checks on pet movement between NI and the Republic as rabies is not present on the island, but pets should have passports.
According to Simon Doherty of the British Veterinary Association, the authorities north and south of the border have taken a "pragmatic risk-based approach" to pet travel.
However in a no-deal Brexit, UK pets would be treated the same as those coming from an "unlisted country" into the EU.
This means they will require a microchip, a rabies vaccination, and a blood test to check the efficacy of the vaccination which must be carried out three months before the animal travels.
Armagh Teen To Read Prayer For World Leaders On Armistice Day
An Armagh teenager is to read a prayer in front of a congregation of world leaders at a Westminster Abbey thanksgiving service on the centenary of Armistice Day.
Rebecca Pinkerton is a pupil at Royal School Armagh and a Combined Cadet Force corporal and has been invited to take part in the event which will be broadcast live by the BBC on Sunday 10 November.
She was chosen due to her experience at giving readings at war memorial services and also because of her poem The Poppy, which won her third place out of 7,000 entries in a competition run by the Never Such Innocence charity.
Armistice Day is celebrated each year on 11 November to commemorate the end of the First World War and remember those who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces.
Homes In Tudor Drive Smashed Up By Vandals
Brand new homes in east Belfast have been vandalised ahead of the new tenants moving in.
The properties, at Tudor Drive in the Lisnasharragh area of the city were damaged on Tuesday 06 November.
MP Gavin Robinson tweeted: "Appalled that 11 new Clanmill properties in Lisnasharragh were vandalised over night. New tenants were due to view properties today and to move in shortly after. Have spoken with PSNI and urge anyone with information to come forward."
The police said they are investigating "an incident of criminal damage in Tudor drive".
A spokesman added: "It was reported that at around 9.45pm three unknown males smashed windows in a number of occupied houses in he area. A total of eleven windows were smashed as a result of the incident."
They are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101.

Police Rescue Dog In Co Armagh
Police have reunited a dog with his owners after they rescued him in Co Armagh. Flufie was rescued from a ditch in the area and took him to the vet. He injured one of his back legs and the vet has put him on a drip. Flufie was microchipped, however his details were not updated. The owner was located and reunited with Flufie.
