Man 'Wielding Axe At Cars' Stopped By Police
Police in County Armagh responded to reports of a man wielding an axe at cars in the afternoon of Wednesday 07 November.
The incident happened in Aghagallon.
Police in Craigavon said: "Perhaps the old proverb, 'Never bring a knife to a gun fight' wasn't clear enough.
"Maybe we need to expand and say, 'Never bring any bladed or pointed weapon to a gun fight'."
The officer added: "All's well that ends well, no one hurt, no shots fired, but if you arm yourself with weapons such as this, you can expect only one response from us.
"It's not pretty and it's not friendly, but it is what we will do to keep ourselves and others safe. These are the consequences of carrying weapons."
