Magherafelt Bypass Closed Due To Security Alert
A Magherafelt security alert is ongoing, with police currently at the scene, following the discovery of a suspicious object in the area.
The discovery was made on the A31 Magherafelt Bypass, between the Castledawson roundabout and the Aughrim Road, at approximately 10.45am on Wednesday 14 November.
The road has been closed at both the roundabout and the Aughrim Road sections.
Diversions are in place and no homes have been evacuated.
There are no further details at this stage.

Man Dies Following Crash In Magherafelt
A man in his 40s has died following a road traffic crash in Magherafelt on Tuesday. A tractor and a motorbike were involved in the collision which happened on the Aughrim Road just after 8.30pm. The man, who was driving the motorbike, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
