Man Arrested Following West Belfast Drugs Find

A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a quantity of drugs were seized from a house in west Belfast.

The Terrorism Investigation Unit searched a property in the Lagmore Avenue area on Thursday evening, 29 November.

The search was in connection with a police investigation into 'violent dissident republicans'.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We will continue to target all those involved in terrorist activity as their illegal actions only serve to blight the communities they operate in."

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B controlled drug and remains in custody.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Three men arrested in separate drugs finds
Three men have been arrested following separate drugs finds in Belfast and Co. Londonderry on Monday. A 38-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of drugs, worth an estimated £50,000, in east Belfast. He was subsequently charged with being in possession cannabis with intent to supply following the drugs seizure at Garnerville.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.
