Cigarettes Stolen From County Down Service Station

A quantity of cigarettes has been stolen from a service station in County Down during an early morning burglary.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 11 December on the Saintfield Road in Ballygowan.

Detective Sergeant Lauren Edwards said: "Shortly after midnight, the roller shutter door and front door to the premises were forced and entry gained, with a quantity of cigarettes then stolen. Our enquiries are at an early stage but we believe at this time that at least two men were involved in the burglary and that they made off from the scene in a car."

"I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information which could assist with our enquires to contact detectives in Bangor on 101 quoting reference number 34 11/12/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

NI Artist Targeted In Belfast Burglary

Five paintings belonging to Northern Ireland artist Terry Bradley are among items stolen from a residential premises in Belfast on Friday 07 December.

Police said the burglary took place between 8.30am and 4.30pm in the Knockbreda Park area, when a quantity of jewellery was also taken.

"Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 887 7/12/18," Sergeant McCourt said.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Jasper Carrott Brings His Tour To Belfast

Comedian Jasper Carrott is set to bring his tour to Belfast next year.

The Birmingham comic will play the Ulster Hall on Thursday 30 May.

His career has spanned 50 years since he became the resident comedian at the Boggery Folk Club in his home city in the mid-seventies.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 14 at 10am fro the Limelight, Ticketmaster, Katy's Bar & Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Ammunition Found During West Belfast Security Alert
A quantity of ammunition has been found during a security alert in west Belfast. Suspected stolen artwork was also discovered at a property in the St Mary's Gardens area on Thursday, 14 September. Detectives from Musgrave Criminal Investigation Branch have launched an investigation. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Money Stolen In South Belfast Burglary
Police are appealing for information after a sum of money was stolen during a burglary in south Belfast. The incident was first reported at 10.30am on Saturday 04 January. It's believed entry was gained to the property in Inishowen Drive at sometime between 3pm on Thursday 02 January and when the burglary was reported.

Cigarettes Stolen During Burglary In East Belfast
An investigation has been launched after a quantity of cigarettes were stolen during a burglary in east Belfast. The incident is believed to have happened at commercial premises in the Craigleith Drive area after 10pm on Wednesday, 17 January. It was reported to the police shortly before 6am on Thursday, 18 January.

Arrests And Suspected Stolen Good Seized In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested and a quantity of suspected stolen goods have been seized by officers from the City Centre Neighbourhood Team in L'Derry. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of six counts of theft and he remains in police custody at this time.

Three Arrested After £19,000 Of Suspected Stolen Mobile Phones Recovered
Three people have been arrested after police recovered suspected stolen mobile phones worth around £19,000 in Banbridge, Co Down. The PSNI conducted a proactive operation while their ANPR Intercept team were conducting patrols in the A1 area of the town on Thursday.
