Man Injured Jumping From Window To Escape Intruders
A man has been injured after jumping from a window to escape armed intruders who assaulted three people during a Newtownards break-in.
The injured man was taken to hospital following the incident in the Old Market Square area at about 1.45am on Sunday 16 December.
Three occupants in the house, two men and one woman, were assaulted by two hooded men carrying a hammer when they broke into the property.
The fourth person jumped from the first-floor window.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact them on non-emergency line 101.

Two men arrested following pensioner robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection to the robbery of a pensioner's home in Co Down yesterday. The 93-year-old man suffered cuts to his ear and an arm injury when he confronted two men who had climbed through a bedroom window at his Hillsborough home at around 8.45am on Tuesday. The robbers escaped with a sum of money.

Man Arrested After Jumping Out Of Stolen Tractor
A man has been arrested after he jumped out of a stolen tractor which rammed through a metal fence. Police saw the high value tractor being driven into an industrial estate on Seven Mile Straight at around 10pm in Antrim. The police followed the tractor and the man who was driving the vehicle jumped out.

There were a number of shootings incidents in Belfast last night in which three people were injured in paramilitary-style attacks. At around 8pm, a 30-year-old man was hospitalised after being shot in the right leg. The incident occurred in Tynan Drive in Newtownabbey, north Belfast.

Four people have been injured during a day of attacks on Northern Ireland’s public bus services. One man was hit on the arm by a brick thrown through the window of a bus that was travelling along Gray’s Lane, near the Shore Road around 5pm.
