Man Armed With Wheel Brace Robs Delivery Driver In West Belfast
A man armed with a wheel brace robbed a delivery driver in west Belfast on the morning of Sunday 16 December.
The cash in transit driver was targeted on the Falls Road at around 7.30am and threatened with the weapon.
The culprit, who was wearing a hooded top covering his face, made off with a sum of cash in a blue coloured Ford Focus car that was driven by an accomplice.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "The car was recovered by police in Roumania Rise a short time later.
"The blue Ford Focus had been reported stolen from Fitzwilliam Street in east Belfast around 7.30pm on Wednesday evening, 12 December."
Detective Sergeant Maguire is appealing for anyone who was on the Falls Road on Sunday morning close to Dunville Park and who witnessed the incident or the blue Ford Focus, or who was in the area of Roumania Rise and witnessed the car being abandoned to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 487 16/12/18.

Local beaches awarded Blue Flags
Eight beaches in Northern Ireland have been awarded Blue Flags on meeting the guideline standards. Last year the same number of awards were given to beaches with litter-free sands and bathing waters. Portrush East Strand, which missed out last year, was added, while Downhill Beach has gone off the list.

Armed Man Robs Shop In South Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a shop in south Belfast. A man, believed to have been armed with a handgun, entered the premises on the Lockview Road just before 10.15pm on tuesday, 30 January. He made off with a sum of cash and a significant amount of cigarettes and scratch cards.

Gang Steals Car From North Belfast House
A masked gang has stolen a man's car after threatening him at his home in North Belfast. Three men went into the house in Hopefield Avenue at around 9pm on Tuesday night. The gang threatened the man before making off in his navy blue Volkswagon Passat. The vehicle's registration is XCZ 5540.

Four men have robbed two elderly women in their South Belfast home. The gang of four, two armed with large screwdrivers, forced their way into the sister's home at Diamond Gardens, Finaghy at around 6.30pm on Wednesday evening.
