Appeal Issued For Missing County Down Man
Police are appealing for public assistance in locating a County Down man who has been missing since Monday evening, 17 December.
Officers are searching for Robert Murray who is missing from his home in Portavogie in the Ards Peninsula.
They have posted appeals online for the past two days, and residents in the area are now being urged to check their land for Mr Murray's car.
In the latest update, a spokesperson for PSNI Ards released an image of the red Hyundai i30, with the registration XEZ 5917, which it is believed he may be using.
"We are asking all LAND & PROPERTY OWNERS in Portavogie, Kircubbin, Portaferry and the surrounding areas to check your outbuildings, laneways and secluded areas for Robert's car.
"Please encourage others to do the same," the PSNI added.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing man Declan Mawhinney has been found safe and well, according to the police. Mr Mawhinney, 46, went missing from Letterkenny on Saturday at approximately 11.40pm. A missing person appeal was launched by the police and his family. He was located in Letterkenny on Tuesday. Police thank the public for their assistance.
