Two In Hospital After Serious Newry Crash
Two people are in hospital following a serious collision on the A1 carriageway in Newry.
The two-vehicle crash happened near the Armagh Road junction at around 4pm on Wednesday 09 January.
The air ambulance attended the scene along with two ambulance crews and one rapid response paramedic.
One of the injured was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, while the other was transferred to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.
The road was closed in both directions for some time, causing long delays, but opened for early morning traffic on Thursday 10 January.

£250k Resurfacing Announced For Newry Road
A major £250,000 road resurfacing scheme has been announced for the A25 Newry Road. The works will comprise of approximately 0.65km of carriageway resurfacing of the A25 Newry Road through Camlough village, from south of the U1583, known as Hall Road, to just beyond C217 Chapel Road roundabout.
