Teenage Boy Charged With 'Threat To Kill' After Incident At NI School
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with a range of offences, including issuing threats to kill, following an incident outside a Northern Ireland school on Tuesday 15 January.
The past pupil of Lismore Comprehensive in Craigavon was arrested this morning after allegedly being in possession of a blade outside the premises.
A police spokesperson said: "A 14-year-old male has been charged with possessing an article with a blade in a public place, threats to kill and resisting police.
"He is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court tomorrow
"As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS. The charges are in relation to an incident at the Brownlow Road area of Craigavon this morning."
The school added in a statement: "We would like to confirm that there was a critical incident here today at Lismore involving a past student. An arrest has been made.
"We would like also to highlight, the incident did not happen within our school premises."
A spokesperson for the school also commended the swift action of the local police, as well as the professionalism and support of all staff, students, and parents involved.
They added: "Today illustrates the fantastic teamwork, caring ethos, adaptability and cooperation of the Lismore Family.
"Thank you for your continued support."

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.

A 14-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man have been charged with attempted murder. The unnamed boy has been remanded in custody after being described as "vulnerable" by police in a court in Lisburn.

Man questioned over pub shooting released
Detectives investigating a shooting outside a bar in Belfast have released a second man who was questioned over the attack. The incident occurred at around 1am on Friday 11 May, when a man fired a number of shots at the door of Fibber Magee’s in Blackstaff Square.
