Ulster Hospital A&E Under Pressure

The South Eastern Trust has issued a warning to the public that the accident and emergency department at the Ulster Hospital is "extremely busy".

Those with less serious conditions are advised to seek alternative methods of treatment to reduce demand on the service.

"Our staff are working very hard to make sure everyone receives timely and safe care," a spokesperson for the Trust warned on Sunday 17 February.

Long waits can be expected.
