Fire Ongoing In Bushmills Town Centre

The centre of Bushmills has been closed to traffic as emergency services deal with a fire.

The incident is ongoing at The Scotch House Pub after the blaze broke out at around 3am this morning, Monday 04 March.

So far, police have only said they are at the scene of an incident and Main Street is closed to traffic.

Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to seek alternative routes.

Baby girl dies in road traffic accident
A child has been killed in a road traffic accident in Enniskillen. The baby girl, from the Republic of Ireland, was in a car with her two brothers, her childminder and her childminder's daughter, when it collided with a fire engine. The incident happened at around 11.20 am on the Derrylin Road in the town.

Cyclist Killed In Co Down Road Crash
A cyclist has died in a road collision in Co Down. The crash occurred near the Somme Heritage Centre between Newtownards and Bangor at around 5.50am on Thursday, 06 October. The male driver of the car was not injured. The carriageway remains closed to Bangor bound traffic. Motorists are being urged to seek an alternative route.

NI Covid-19 Total Rises By Two
Two further people have tested positive for coronavirus in Northern Ireland, the Department of Health has revealed. Both cases are adults and are declared as secondary transmissions. One of the individuals had recently travelled from northern Italy, while the other has been linked to a previously reported patient who travelled to the region.
