Sales-Focused Mentoring For L'Derry Firms
Small businesses operating in the L'Derry area are being encouraged to take part in a Sales Growth Programme.
Delivered under Derry City and Strabane District Council's Business Boost initiative, the free advice sessions are part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for growth & jobs Northern Ireland (2014 -2020) programme.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council John Boyle said: "We are delighted to see the launch of the Sales Growth Programme. We are aware that many small businesses struggle to grow to the next level because of challenges around identifying, targeting and exploiting new business opportunities. The Sales Growth Programme aims to provide practical assistance to SME and micro enterprise owner-managers to rise to these challenges."
The mentoring scheme is open to owner-managers who are based within the Council Area, employ less than 50 people and have potential to create at least two jobs in the next 12 months. It will involve a series of sales growth workshops and sales-focused mentoring support. Each participant will also have the opportunity to meet with potential customers before the end of the Programme who have expressed a specific interest in their products and services.
The initiative will be delivered by Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd. Managing Director Simon Devlin said: "We are looking for SME/ micro enterprise owner-managers who are committed to growing their businesses and employing more people. We have delivered the Sales Growth Programme very successfully in this region and so know that this is a formula that works- we are therefore confident that we can help participants to move from talking about winning new sales to actually doing this."
