Body Found In Search For Missing Belfast Woman
A body has been recovered from the water in County Louth in the search for missing Belfast woman Ruth Maguire.
The 30-year-old, who had been living in Newcastle, County Down, went missing from a hen party in Carlingford at around 11.30pm on Saturday evening, 16 March.
A major search party was launched after the rest of the hen party were unable to find her, but Gardaí confirmed on Monday afternoon that a body believed to be Ms Maguire had been found in Carlingford Lough.
A post-mortem will be carried out but Gardaí are treating it as a tragic event.
The search was later called off.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.
