Man Requires Surgery After North Belfast Assault
A man has required surgery for facial injuries after he was attacked by a gang in north Belfast.
Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted in the Elmfield Street area in the early hours of Monday 18 March.
Detective Constable Gill said: "We received a report that two men had been attacked sometime between 12.30am and 1.00am on Monday morning. It is believed that the assault was committed by a number of men.
"One of the men assaulted, who is aged in his 50s, suffered significant facial injuries which required surgery. Whilst the other man who is in his 20s also suffered injuries.
"Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information which could assist us with our investigation to contact Detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 876 of 18/03/19."

A man has been injured following a paramilitary-style attack in Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Glenowen area at around 11pm on Tuesday, 12 July. The victim was attacked after several men forced their way into a house in the area. The man, aged in his 20s, sustained injuries to his leg.

Two Men Released Over Attack In Armagh
Two men have been released on bail following a serious attack on a 20-year-old man in County Armagh on Sunday. The assault occurred in the Millford area, off the Monaghan Road. A 20-year-old man sustained head and facial injuries and remains in a serious condition in hospital. The men, aged 24 and 25, were released pending further inquiries.
