Two ATMs Recovered After Latest Theft
Police have recovered two cash machines that were stolen in an overnight raid.
Thieves targeted a Tesco supermarket on the Larne Link Road in Ballymena at around 3am this morning, Friday 26 April.
Officers spotted the machines being driven away from the scene on the back of a pick-up truck. Following a pursuit, the vehicle was later found abandoned on the Woodside Road.
The recovered ATMs will now be subject to a forensic examination.
This theft brings the number of cash machines ripped from business premises in Northern Ireland this year to 12.
A tractor and digger used to remove the cash machines in Ballymena were both set alight at the scene.

Industry urges NI to ‘play safe’ with cash cards
Cash machine users were today advised to keep playing safe when making cash withdrawals, despite fraudulent cash withdrawals in Northern Ireland falling by 8% to £368,000 over the past year. However, despite a fall in Northern Ireland figures the rest of the UK saw an average rise of 85% in fraudulent cash withdrawals over the same period.

Nationwide ATM Customers Face Day Of Reckoning
It was a very merry Christmas indeed for thousands of Nationwide customers who haven't been charged for cash machine withdrawals - but the day of reckoning is looming. Nationwide has apologised to its customers in Northern Ireland after money they withdrew from Northern Bank cash machines was not debited from their accounts.

Cash Machines Stolen From Antrim Tesco
Police have recovered a double ATM machine that was ripped from the wall of a supermarket in Antrim. The theft took place overnight in the town's Castle Way area. Officers responded to the incident shortly after 3am on Friday morning, 06 December, to discover a digger on fire and the unit housing two machines stolen.

Warning Issued Over Cash Machines
Police have warned the public to be aware of a possible scam involving bank machines. The warning comes after a skimming device to steal people's bank details was discovered on an ATM in Newcastle, Co Down, over the weekend. Skimming devices can be attached to the front of a cash machine.
