Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Into Garden Of Family Home
A driver has been arrested after crashing their car into the garden of a family home in Maghera, County L'Derry, while under the influence of excess alcohol.
Police said the incident occurred overnight on Sunday 12 May, when a silver vehicle collided with a tree.
The driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol, as well as a number of other driving offences.
Urging those who choose to drive under the influence to "wise up", a PSNI spokesperson said: "Looks like some remote wood but it is in fact the front garden of a family home. Very fortunate the car didn't end up inside the house."
