Man Injured In Belfast Hit And Run
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a hit and run in Belfast over the weekend.
Reports of the collision on the Springfield Road in the west of the city emerged at around 1.50am on Sunday 19 May. The male, aged in his forties, had been struck by a silver-coloured car.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene and transferred the man to hospital for treatment to a neck injury.
Detective Sergeant Laverty said: "I am urging anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the collision, or who captured it on their dash cam, to get in touch with detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 187 of 19/05/19."

A man has been injured in a two-car collision in east Belfast. The crash happened on the Upper Newtownards Road just before 10.30am on Tuesday, 23 May. The man has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. The road has been re-opened.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in a car park in Belfast. The incident happened off Castle Street in Ballymoney on Sunday at around 1.30am. A 25 year-old-man is currently being treated in hospital with a serious head injury. A 22-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Woman Killed Following Crash On A2
A woman has been killed in a car crash on the Bangor to Belfast Road on Friday, 10 November. The collision happened on the A2 at Ballygilbert after 3pm. A child was also critically injured and is being treated in hospital. Another man involved was treated in hospital, however he has been discharged. The road has since been re-opened.
