Marsh Ireland to create 75 jobs in Spiddal
Financial and Insurance services company Marsh Ireland have announced the creation of 75 jobs in Spiddal, Co Galway.
The jobs in the Connemara Gaeltacht will be created at a telesales and claims processing centre for Marsh Ireland, which is a subsidiary of US-owned insurance services company Marsh.
Already employing some 500 staff at locations throughout Ireland, American-based insurance giant, Marsh employs 55,000 people worldwide.
Marsh offers risk-management and insurance services in many specialist areas.
In Europe the company operates a network of offices in over 70 locations in 24 countries and has one of the region's largest pool of experts on insurance risks.
In a rapidly developing Central and Eastern European business market, Marsh offers sophisticated insurance and risk-management services.

Two New Companies To Create 97 Jobs
Irish Minister for Labour Affairs, Mr Tony Killeen has announced the establishment of two new companies at Shannon Free Zone in Co. Clare which between them will create 97 new jobs over the next five years. Supported by Shannon Development, the new companies are; White Horse Insurance Ireland Ltd (52 new jobs) and PC Tools Software (45 new jobs).

Two Major Shannon Expansions Of International Companies
Micheál Martin, Irish Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, has announced expansions by two international companies at Shannon Free Zone that will generate up to 285 new jobs over the next five years. Minister Martin made the announcement from Japan where he is accompanying 30 Irish companies on an Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission.

FF Expresses 'Serious Disappointment' Over Liberty Job Losses
Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan-Monaghan, Brendan Smith, has expressed his serious disappointment following the announcement by Liberty Insurance that it's planning to cut 270 jobs at its offices in Cavan, Enniskillen and Dublin. The jobs will be phased out over the next 18 months as the company seeks voluntary redundancies.
