Police Dog Helps Catch Fleeing Males

Four men have been arrested with the help of a police dog after reports of burglaries in Lisburn this morning.

Following the break-ins in the Old Warren and greater Lisburn area, the males caused a collision on the Saintfield Road, towards the M1, while driving a stolen silver Mercedes vehicle.

The men fled the scene on foot but were apprehended, with the assistance of the PSNI's dog section, and each arrested.

Writing on Facebook, a spokesperson said the suspects suffered bite marks after attempting to run from the dog.

"Now we need YOUR HELP," the officer added. "If you have any information about these males, if you have seen them in the area, if you have any CCTV or dash cam footage we would like to know, we have already had some CCTV footage given in so Thankyou!"

Details can be provided by calling the non-emergency line 101 quoting reference CC31 of 29/05/2019.
