Major Fire Breaks Out Near Co Antrim Services

Fire crews have spent the night battling a blaze close to an Applegreen service station in Ballymena, County Antrim.

The fire appears to have broken out at nearby building materials suppler JP Corry, on the A26 carriageway on Sunday evening, 16 June.

In a statement released last night, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was "well developed" and would take some time to be brought under control.

The A26 southbound carriageway was closed overnight but has since reopened. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
