Police Operation As 'Suspicious Object' Found In Lurgan
A police operation is underway at a cemetery in Lurgan after a suspicious object was found.
It was discovered at St. Coleman's Cemetery in the town on Monday afternoon, 17 June.
It is believed the Army bomb disposal team has been called, but no further details have been released as yet.
Police Appeal Over Portadown Hit & Run
Police are investigating a hit and run which caused considerable damage to another vehicle in Portadown.
The incident occurred on the Garvaghy Road at around 9.45pm on Saturday 15 June.
A silver BMW was travelling at high speed out of Garvaghy Park when it struck a Volkswagen Jetta, causing significant damage to the drivers side door, pushing the car onto the kerb and puncturing the tyre.
A PSNI Spokesperson said: "Thankfully, the Jetta was parked and unoccupied. Even more thankfully, there were no children or families walking on the footpath at the time. The BMW did not stop and made off away from Portadown town centre towards the roundabout. This could have been very different."
Police believe the BMW car's registration began with a 'T' and said the vehicle is likely to be noticeably damaged.
Anyone with information on who is responsible, or who comes across a silver BMW matching the description is urged to get in touch quoting reference 1932 of 15/06/19.
New Play Park Opens In East Belfast
Children from Bloomfield Community Association joined Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities at the newly refurbished Orangefield Play Park in east Belfast today, 17 June, to mark its recent opening.
The new and improved facility, which cost £190,000, includes equipment selected to make it as accessible as possible for everyone.
New toddler-focused equipment includes springers, cradle swings and a multi play unit. For older children there is a climbing net, swings, rockers and balance beams. Other specially selected inclusive and accessible equipment includes a 'play panel' fence, an 'eco rain wheel', an inclusive roundabout, inclusive springers and special needs seats.
Alderman Brian Kingston, Chair of Belfast City Council's Strategic Policy and Resources Committee, said: "I'm delighted to visit this fantastic new play park, and to meet some of the children from Bloomfield Community Association who have been really looking forward to its opening.
"Investing in initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of all our citizens is one of the priorities of the Belfast Agenda, the community plan for the city, so this a welcome addition to the area. Its location adjacent to the hugely popular Connswater Community Greenway should ensure that it gets a lot of visitors."

Over £170,000 Of Cannabis Found In North Belfast
Police have found over £170,000 worth of cannabis at a property in North Belfast. It was discovered during a search on Clifton Park Avenue on Wednesday. No arrests were made and the property was vacant. Officers are continuing their investigations.

Vote of confidence for NI news services
A study of television and other news sources in the UK has found that only 4% of Northern Ireland viewers are dissatisfied with the provision of local news services. The research carried out by the Independent Television Commission (ITC) and Broadcasting Standards Commission (BSC) found this was the lowest dissatisfaction rate in the UK.
