ABC Council Launches Tender Support Programme
A programme designed to help firms improve their tendering skills and win more business has been launched by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
The 'Win More Business Procurement Programme' offers a range of business development workshops for small firms and up to three days of one-to-one monitoring.
Tendering is a key aspect of business development in which companies submit bids for contracts, usually with specific requirements and a finite deadline.
Participating companies will be coached in the areas of:
• getting ready to tender
• understanding and identifying supply chain and collaborations
• using e-tendering portals
• achieving compliance with industry standards
• structuring tender submissions
• evaluation of past tender submissions
• contract mobilisation
• employing staff to support new work won
• identifying new customer organisations
• raising business profiles with potential customers
Additional one-to one support may also be provided to firms who identify relevant live tenders whilst participating on the Win More Business Procurement Programme.
Firms wishing to take part in the workshops must:
• be located in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area
• have less than 50 employees
• be actively trading for a minimum of 12 months
• not be receiving similar support from elsewhere
The Win More Business programme is now open for applications. Register your interest via telephone on 028 7134 7631 or by emailing janis@gelltd.com or melissa@gelltd.com.
