Disruptions For Popular Tyrone Forest Park
A popular country park in County Tyrone will face disruptions over the next fortnight while three footbridges are replaced.
Walkers are advised that some parts of Gortin Glen Forest Park will be inaccessible.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said the work is part of a plan to upgrade facilities at the park and improve visitor experience.
The council has apologised for any inconvenience.
ABC Council To Launch Free Outdoor Play Programme
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is to launch a programme of free traditional outdoor play and events.
Kicking off in Craigavon on Saturday 27 July, the timetable will run three days a week- on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays- until the end of August. Sessions will be held in four central areas of the town: Tullygally, Parkmore, Moyraverty and Drumgor.
'Play in the Community' is a free, fun new programme for children and their parents/guardians across the borough, giving families and communities access to a broad range of play and an opportunity to build positive relationships through play.
The project is funded by the PEACE IV Programme, a cross-border initiative, financed through the European Union and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). It has been designed to support peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the border region.
Parents and family members who take part in the four sessions in any of the areas will be offered the opportunity to train and gain qualifications in playwork – all free of charge!

Public Invited To Shape NI Water Supply Plan
Consultation has been launched on NI Water's draft Water Resource & Supply Resilience Plan (WR&SRP).
The draft WR&SR Plan shows how the utility will manage and develop water resources to make sure there is enough water to meet future supply needs.
Taking into account changes in population, housing, water usage and any predicted changes to our climate, the document also looks at how the supplies can be handled during extreme weather periods like drought.
NI Water, along with input from key stakeholders, has also assessed the potential impact the plan could have on the environment with an attached Strategic Environmental Assessment.
This consultation period will help shape the Plan ahead of a final version being submitted.
The deadline for submissions is 27 September 2019.
