Teenage Girl Shot With Pellet Gun
A teenage girl has been shot with a pellet gun in what police are investigating as a hate crime.
The young girl is understood to have been wearing her traditional Pakistani clothing when she was targeted on Orkney Drive, Ballymena on Wednesday 31 July.
The teenager was at a play park in the area at around 3pm when she was shot and left with a facial injury. Police said her home was also damaged in the attack.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a hate crime and have appealed for anyone who witnessed it to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1414 of 31/07/19.

The 34-year-old suspect was arrested in Newtownards on Wednesday morning, 04 October. He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station to be questioned.

A man, aged in his 30s, was attacked by a group of youths in the East Bridge Street area of Belfast on Monday afternoon, 17 September. The man continues to be treated in hospital for injuries sustained in the attack.
