Reports Of Fraudulent Notes On North Coast
Police are urging vigilance among communities and businesses amid reports of fraudulent money circulating on the North Coast.
A group of people who spoke with southern accents attempted to purchase items using counterfeit Scottish £20 notes at a number of businesses in the Ballycastle and north Antrim areas.
Sharing a photograph of the fraudulent cash on Facebook, a PSNI spokesperson said: "Please check all notes by using either a pen or machine. If you come across any fraudulent notes or persons trying to pay in this way contact Police straight away on 101 or 999 in an emergency."
