Car Hijacked At Knifepoint In Belfast
A man has been ordered out of his car at knifepoint in Belfast.
Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Hamill Street area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 04 September.
The victim was uninjured but left shaken.
Detective inspector Kerry Brennan said: "It was reported that at around 3.35 am, a man was sitting in his vehicle in Hamill Street when he was approached by a male armed with a knife who told him to get out of the car.
"Thankfully, no force was used, and the victim was physically uninjured. However, he was left shaken by his ordeal, which must have been frightening for him.
"I want to appeal to anyone who was in the Hamill Street area around 3:35 am and witnessed the incident, or has information which may assist our investigation to call us on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 134 of 04/09/19."

31-year-old north Belfast murder victim Conor McKee was shot a number of times, police have revealed. Mr McKee was found dead by his mother at his Glenpark Street home last Thursday night. Two men arrested over the murder have been released on bail.

Man escapes injury in shooting
A man has escaped injury after shots were fired at his home in Co Antrim last night. The 24-year-old was inside his house on the McCorley Road in Toombridge when a shot was fired at his front door. Police have appealed for anyone who may have seen a light coloured car driving off from the area at around 11.30pm to contact them.

Tunnel Breakthrough For Belfast Sewers Project
Nearly a mile long and 40 metres below ground, a key section of Belfast's deepest tunnel was completed yesterday as the tunnel boring machine (TBM) made its breakthrough at Duncrue Street. Capable of holding vast overflows of stormwater - up to four million gallons - it will reduce the risk of sewer flooding in the greater Belfast area.
