NI Council Warns Of Suspicious Emails
A series of suspicious emails are circulating in the Fermanagh and Omagh area, the council has said.
Customers and service users have reported reaching correspondence from council employees that prompts recipients to click on a link and insert a password- however no such emails would be sent by the council.
A spokesperson said: "These emails should be deleted and no details should be entered– the council will never ask anyone to enter a password- we never have any requirement to do so."
Anyone who has opened a similar email and entered their password is advised to change it immediately.
If in doubt about whether an email is genuine, do not open it but contact the council officer that it purports to be from to check its authenticity.
Suspicious emails should be reported to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or by using the online reporting tool.

The new facility is the first to offer a dedicated EMS (Electro-Muscular Stimulation) Hub within Northern Ireland, which Mr McGivern explained uses low frequency electrical impulses over all the major muscle groups to enhance muscle activity during workouts.
Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council's Economic Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart MBE said the gym will complement the varied leisure and fitness facilities already on offer.
He commented: "This hub will harness the power of advanced electro-stimulation technology which is an innovative approach already well-established across Europe, Asia and Australia for some years. On behalf of the council I wish Fergus every success on this new venture."
Larne Roadworks To Begin Next Week
A series of traffic restrictions are set to be introduced in Larne over the next few weeks to support road improvement works.
The A8 Ballymena Road from Pound Street junction (Belfast bound lane) for 1.1km will be resurfaced in a £237,000 scheme.
Work will begin on Friday 20 September and run until Sunday 06 October.
A full road closure will be in place from 7.00pm on Friday 20 September until 8pm on Sunday 22 September, followed by a lane closure from 23-27 September between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
Another full closure will then be in place from 6am until 8pm on Saturday 28 September.
During these times a diversion will be implemented via Circular Road, Circular Road Roundabout, Glenarm Road, Victoria Road, Old Glenarm Road, Greenland Road, The Roddens and Antiville Road.
Drivers should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time when travelling in the area.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
