Man Abducted & Beaten In Co Fermanagh

A businessman has been left injured after he was abducted in Co Fermanagh before being beaten and dumped at the side of a road across the border.

An investigation is underway following the serious assault on Tuesday evening, 17 September.

The victim, who is understood to be a prominent businessman in the area, was abducted from his home in Derrylin at around 6.40pm and seriously assaulted. He was then left at the side of a road in Drumcoughill, Cornafean, Co Cavan.

The man suffered injuries to his face and leg.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw a black Audi saloon being driven in Derrylin or Swanlinbar, Co Cavan, to contact detectives.
