Tickets Released For MECTEC 2019

Automotive trade event MECTEC is back, with tickets now available for the 2019 show running from 08-10 October.

Powered by FG7, MECTEC is the point where the automotive aftermarket comes to life at the company's expansive headquarters in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The event is open to both motor factors and technicians and combines leading exhibitors, educational seminars, demonstrations, food, drink and entertainment to create a truly immersive experience.

As well as a range of top attractions and interactive displays, the show also features exclusive offers and prizes, including a Vauxhall Combo Van.

MECTEC will be held from 4pm-9pm each day, with the following running order:

• 5pm: Battery Care Advice with Alan Povey, RING UK

• 5.30pm: Oil Education on the correct Specifications, COMMA OIL

• 6pm: OneBox Presentation with John Bentley, ECOBAT

• 6.30pm: Clutch, SACHS/ZF

• 7pm: Brake Pads, Dr. Keith Ellis of Allied Nippon

• 7.30pm: Filter Presentation, Mahle

• 8pm: Batteries with Ian Newham, GS

• 8.30pm: Engine Management, Kerr Nelson

Minister Reacts To Teachers' Union Ballot Threat
Education Minister Paul Givan has responded to the announcement by several teachers' unions that they plan to ballot their members for industrial action over 2024/25 pay. Applications Open For The Late Late Toy Show 2023
RTÉ has announced that applications for The Late Late Toy Show 2023 have officially opened. The broadcaster’s annual Christmas show has started with the search underway for this year’s ‘Toy Show superstars’. Comedian Patrick Kielty is to host the show after he was announced as successor to Ryan Tubridy.

Garden Show Ireland arrives in Belfast
The biggest display of nurseries to be shown in Ireland is to arrive in Belfast this weekend. Garden Show Ireland is being held at the Balmoral Showgrounds from today and will end on Sunday.
