Public Reports See Drugs Seized & Man Arrested
A number of reports from a rural community have led to the arrest of a man and a quantity of cash, drugs and mobile phones removed from the public realm.
Police were tipped off about drug dealing in the Harryville area of Ballymena and moved to search a property on Thursday, 24 October.
A sum of cash, suspected morphine tablets and mobile phones were recovered from the scene after officers forced entry to the property.
A 47-year-old male was arrested at the address and was in police custody awaiting interview as of Friday morning.
The investigation is ongoing as forensic enquiries are carried out and mobile devices scanned.

Consultation Launches Aimed At Drivers Illegally Using Mobile Phones
A public consultation has launched to crack down on drivers illegally using mobile phones. It is already an offence to drive a vehicle while 'using' a hand-held mobile phone or similar device and is currently punishable by a fixed penalty of £60 and three penalty points. However, illegal use of mobile phones by drivers is an increasing problem.
