Man Assaulted With Hammer In North Belfast Burglary
A man has been assaulted with a hammer during a burglary in north Belfast.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was at a house on the Oldpark Road on Saturday 26 October when a number of males entered at around 9.30pm.
The assailants assaulted the man with the hammer before making off with a sum of cash and a mobile phone, leaving him in need of hospital treatment for cuts and bruises to his head and body.
The suspects are described as being aged in their 30s or 40s and spoke with local accents.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 1742 26/10/19. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A 32-year-old man has been assaulted with a claw hammer during an aggravated burglary in Lisburn on Sunday, 05 May. The homeowner suffered lacerations to the head after three men gained entry to his flat in the Woodbrook Avenue area. He was later taken to hospital for treatment. Local police received a report of the break-in at approximately 11.

Man doused in petrol during Belfast robbery
The manager of a west Belfast off-licence has been doused with petrol, punched and beaten with a gun during an armed robbery. Two men, one armed with a handgun and another with a claw hammer entered the premises at the Springfield shop at 8:45 on Sunday morning. They ordered the manager behind the counter and demanded he open two safes and a till.
