Public Consulted On Signage At Belfast Leisure Centres
A public consultation is seeking views on proposals to erect bilingual/multilingual signage at four leisure centres in Belfast.
It follows a meeting of Belfast City Council on Friday 11 October when members agreed to install multilingual welcome signs in all leisure centres. Plans to hold the consultation on bilingual/multilingual signage at Andersonstown, Lisnasharragh, Olympia and Templemore leisure centres were also agreed by council.
Views on proposals for internal directional signage including pictures will be sought, in a bid to enhance accessibility to the community and disabled people.
Opinions can be submitted via the online survey, accessible here by the deadline of 10 January 2020.
Members of the public can also attend a series of information and feedback events across the city, with a number of focus groups with representatives from Irish Language, Ulster Scots, disability and migrant forums planning to attend.
