Pipe-Bomb Explosion Sparks West Belfast Alert
An exploded pipe-bomb in west Belfast was the cause of a security operation on Thursday evening, police have confirmed.
The householder of a property in Norglen Parade discovered the device on Tuesday morning, 05 November. It's believed to have exploded at around 10.30pm the previous night.
Police were alerted to the incident on Thursday evening and established a presence in the area, with ATO tasked to investigate. The device was declared as a viable pipe-bomb.
Inspector Phillip McCullough said: "There have been no reports of any injuries. Slight damage was caused to a windowsill of the property.
"The remnants of the device have now been seized by police and taken away for further forensic examination and our enquiries are continuing.
"Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Norglen Parade area on Monday evening, or anyone with information that could help our investigation is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference number 1570 of 07/11/19."

Six masked men carrying hammers ransacked a house during an aggravated burglary in Belfast. The incident happened at a house in the Whiterock Crescent area of the city on Thursday evening at around 9.35pm. Viable Pipebomb Made Safe In Newtownabbey
The PSNI are appealing for information after a viable pipebomb was thrown at a house in Newtownabbey. Police were called to the incident on Voltaire Gardens on Tuesday night and found the device in the garden of the house. A number of homes in the area were evacuated and Army Technical Officers (ATO) were called.

County Armagh pensioner robbed in his home
Police in County Armagh have appealed for information following a burglary at the home of a pensioner on Thursday evening. A man aged in his 80's was at his home in the Ennis Close area of Lurgan, when three men broke into the property. The thieves ransacked the house, before making off with an undisclosed sum of money.
