High Value BMW Stolen In Co Down

A high value vehicle has been stolen by thieves using keyless technology in Co Down.

The BMW was taken from the Grovernors Gate development in Hillsborough sometime between 11.30pm on Tuesday 05 November and 4am on Wednesday.

Appealing for information, a PSNI spokesperson urged motorists to ensure keys are stored in a safe place at all times.

"If you own a car with keyless technology, it is important to keep your keys in a faraday case or box and away from the front door, which prevents thieves scanning the key and copying the signal which allows them access to the car," the PSNI Castlereagh officer said.

Anyone who witnessed or heard anything is urged to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 261 of 06/11/19 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
