Motorists Warned To Drive With Caution
Drivers are being urged to reduce their speed and exercise caution on the roads due to adverse weather conditions.
Police said there has been a number of reports of surface water affecting roads, with motorists reminded to take extra care when travelling today, Tuesday 12 November.
A Met Office warning is in place until 11am, with heavy rain and disruption ongoing in counties Antrim and Down.
The night of stormy weather caused the River Bann in Coleraine to overflow its banks leaving some nearby areas, including the Strand Road, flooded.
Excess surface water has also been reported as you leave Coleraine towards L'Derry, the A2 Bangor Road between Larch Hill and the Cultra Station Road, and the Hillhall Road in Lisburn.
Laganbank road behind Lanyon Place station in Belfast is also partially underwater, according to reports.

Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has confirmed that the Department's winter service team is prepared to tackle the current cold snap. Around 300 staff and 130 gritters are ready to salt main roads, while 12 snow blowers are available for deployment if necessary. To ensure a comprehensive winter service, the Department has allocated £3.

As national weather forecasters said that the North and West of the UK would be worst hit by another spell of freezing temperatures - snow showers are expected to return to NI later today. With several centimetres of snow predicted to fall in some places, forecasters said the renewed Arctic blast could last into the middle of next week.
