Pair Arrested In Lisburn Over West Belfast Arson
Police have made two arrests over an arson attack in west Belfast that caused damage to a number of businesses.
The 32 year-old man and 27 year-old woman were detained on suspicion of arson in Lisburn this morning, Thursday 14 November.
A number of business premises just off Kennedy Way were damaged in the blaze shortly after midnight on Sunday 03 November.
Detective Sergeant O'Flaherty said the suspects are currently in custody assisting with enquiries.
He said: "I want to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time the fire was reported to us and who saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who may have captured any suspicious person/persons in the area on their dash cam to call our detectives at Musgrave on 101, and quote reference 95 of 03/11/19."
Alternatively, details can be provided anonymously via independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.

Local police target 'runabout' vehicles
Police have seized 40 unlicensed vehicles during a local Lisburn initiative aimed at removing so-called 'runabout' cars from streets in the area. Superintendent Gerry Murray stressed that the operation was undertaken following analysis from an 'Operation Clean Up' scheme, which targeted Greater Belfast just over a year ago.

Pub damaged in overnight arson attack
A pub in Randalstown, County Antrim, has been severely damaged in an overnight arson attack. Two "Yellow Godessess" from Ballymena, which responded to the emergency call, attended the blaze at the bar in Main Street, Randalstown, at 2.30am this morning. No injuries were reported in the blaze which extensively damaged the licensed premises.

Police Believe Two Arson Attacks In Co Down May Be Linked
Police have launched an investigation following two arson attacks in Kilkeel, Co Down. It is believed a petrol bomb was used to set a car on fire in Newry at around 2.20am on Wednesday, 11 May. Just over an hour later, police received a report that an unoccupied house in Carn Gardens had also been set on fire.
