Mentoring Support Programme To Benefit Tourism Firms
A mentoring support programme has launched to assist tourism businesses in the Fermanagh and Omagh areas.
Fermanagh and Omagh district council is to run the Tourism Excellence Programme for the benefit of 20 firms in the local area.
Specific support will be provided to support the life cycle of businesses, product development, business start-ups and skills development to improve operations.
Companies operating across a range of different areas are eligible for the support.
These are:
• tourism business planning
• traditional tourism marketing
• digital tourism marketing
• tourism market readiness
• online travel agents
• tourism business clustering
• visitor experience development
The council's Tourism Development Strategy identified, within the Strategic Theme of Business Engagement and Development, an action to establish a Tourism Excellence Programme to support local tourism businesses.
Interested firms are encouraged to complete an Enquiry Form. For further information, contact the Tourism Development Section on 0300 303 1777.

Ryanair celebrates third year at Derry Airport
Low fares airline Ryanair will this week celebrate its third anniversary of scheduled services from the City of Derry Airport to London Stansted. Congratulating the Irish airline’s investment Derry City Mayor Kathleen McCloskey said she was delighted that Ryanair continued to provide low cost fares to and from the North West region.

Belfast Secures International Conference
Some 120 international buyers will meet in Belfast next Spring for a prestigious conference that's set to boost the local tourism economy. HelmsBriscoe will hold its European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) Regional Meeting in the city next March, a conference that last year secured a total of 1.27 billion dollars in meetings revenue worldwide.

Networking Event To Develop Causeway Coast Tourism Experiences
A speed networking event is set to bring together all four Causeway Coastal Route (CCR) clusters to introduce their respective tourism products. Businesses will have one to one exchanges, each lasting five minutes, in a bid to foster collaborative initiatives and help entrepreneurs identify more opportunities for tourism experiences.
