Probe As Car Broken Into In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation after a car was broken into in Co Antrim.
The white BMW was parked in the Beechill area of the Saintfield Road, Castlereagh when the back window was smashed and a laptop stolen.
Police believed it happened sometime throughout the night, with the owner discovering it on Wednesday morning, 04 December.
The theft has prompted police to urge members of the public to remain vigilant in the run up to Christmas and make sure all valuable items or Christmas presents are removed from cars.
A spokesperson for PSNI Castlereagh said of the break in: "Imagine waking up this morning and finding your car broken in to like this?!
"If you saw anything suspicious overnight in this area, please make contact with police in Lisburn & Castlereagh on 101 quoting serial 211 of 4th December.
"Please folks, particularly at this time of year, be sure not to leave any valuables or Christmas presents in your car which could easily tempt would be thieves. Make it difficult for them and take these precautions."

Teenager Injured In East Belfast Hit And Run
A teenager has been injured in a hit and run incident in east Belfast. A girl was hit by a black car in the Mountpottinger Road area at around 2am on Tuesday, 09 August. She has been left with a suspected broken leg. Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Police investigating the murder of Jim Donegan have arrested two men. The 43-year-old was shot dead as he sat in his car waiting to collect his son from school on the Glen Road in west Belfast on 04 December 2018. The detained men, aged 53 and 39, were arrested under the Terrorism Act this morning, Friday 26 April.

Pensioner Victim Of Derry Hit And Run
A frail pensioner has been injured in a hit and run collision. The 80-year-old woman was walking along the Racecourse Road in Londonderry on Sunday morning when she was struck by a white car that failed to stop. Police say the woman was taken to hospital where she is being treated for a broken leg.

Police are investigating a spate of vehicle thefts that occurred on the same day in the Glengormley area of County Antrim. On Saturday, two cars and a motorbike were stolen, while another three vehicles were broken into and had items taken.
