Two Injured In Bar Assault

Two men have been left injured after an assault at a bar in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Smoking Monkey bar at around 11.30pm on Saturday evening, 07 December.

The men suffered facial injuries and one also sustained bite injuries to his hand.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Were you in the bar on the night, did you witness this incident?

"If you have any information please contact 101 and quote reference 1939 07.12.19."

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Detectives are appealing for information after a young man was shot in the Creggan area on Wednesday night, November 27th. Shortly after 10:10 PM, police received a report that the man, in his late teens, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Man injured during 'racial attack'
Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following a what is believed to have been a racial assault on a man in the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident happened as the victim, who is said to be a 24-year-old Czech national, was leaving a bar in the Dublin Road area of the city between 1am and 2am.

Two men arrested in connection with McCartney murder
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Belfast man Robert McCartney earlier this year. The men are also being question by police about the attempted murder of Mr McCartney's friend, Brendan Devine, and the circumstances surrounding the incident which took place on January 30.

Pathway Fund Applications Open For Early Years Providers
Education Minister, Paul Givan, has announced the opening of online applications for the Targeted Early Years Pathway Fund for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 academic years. The Pathway Fund, introduced in 2016, aims to provide early years education services for children aged 0-4 who may be at risk of falling behind in their education.
