Call For Vigilance As Cars Damaged In Lurgan

Motorists in Lurgan have been angered by a spate of car vandalism in the Co Armagh town.

Police said two vehicles were targeted in the vicinity of Lurgan Tarry late on Sunday night, 19 January, causing significant damage that is expected to cost hundreds of pounds.

The owners of both cars have lived in the area for some time and were left upset by the act.

Police appealed for vigilance following the incidents and pledged to increase patrols in the area.

A spokesperson said: "This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable. I urge everyone to be extra vigilant and if you see anything suspicious please give us a call on 101 / 999 and work together in challenging this mindless behaviour."

Anyone who has information on the vandalism or believes they witnessed anything suspicious in the area is urged to contact detectives on 101 quoting references 1747 and 1751 of 19/01/20.
