Man Released Over Jim Donegan Murder

A man arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Jim Donegan has been released unconditionally.

The 42 year-old was questioned at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite on Thursday, 23 January before being released later that same day.

Mr Donegan was gunned down in west Belfast as he waited to collect his teenage son from school on 04 December 2018.

The murder was carried out in a busy, built up area outside a school on the Glen Road and was witnessed by hundreds of school children and their parents.

The PSNI is set to make an appeal for information on Crimewatch this evening, Thursday 21 March, regarding the murder of Jim Donegan in west Belfast last December. The 43-year-old was murdered as he sat in his car outside a school on the Glen Road on Tuesday 04 December.

A 63-year-old man arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Jim Donegan has been released unconditionally. The suspect was detained at Musgrave Police Station this morning, Monday 29 April, under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act.

A man arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Jim Donegan outside his son's school last December has been released unconditionally. The victim was shot eight times by a lone gunman as he waited in his car to collect his son on the Glen Road in west Belfast.
